WHAT: Join NDSU and the North Dakota Grape and Wine Association for an afternoon and evening of education and experience. We will begin with a tour of the research vineyards at NDSU where the next generation of cold climate North Dakota grapes are being produced (2-4 pm). Learn how the grapes are crossed and propagated and see how they are growing in the test vineyards on campus. Meet with the professionals who are doing this critical research.
After the tours, gather at the NDSU McGovern Alumni Center, 1241 N University Ave, for hors d’oeuvres and a unique and unforgettable wine tasting of locally produced wines made from cold climate grapes. SDSU Professor of Agriculture, Dr. Anne Fennel, will be on hand to share tastes and talk about the Brianna grape.
